I have had Many of these model Battery checkers but not from Meritline. All were good. ******* PLEASE note****** these battery tester have a "light load" so if the battery doesn’t have enough current, the meter may read low, Especially Cheap lead acid battery. and button cells because they are low current use. Please NOTE that a multimeter has no load and the battery may read 1.55 volts but with this tester it may read 1.3 or less depending on the shape of the battery. Im' not saying that all these testers are all good, I am saying that these testers Put a load on the battery to simulate "under use" situations good battery’s generally read 1.27 to 1.55. Digital cameras are high current use items. Rechargeable battery’s usually read 1.27 to 1.38

A multimeter does not properly test a battery because it puts no load on the battery. So, this tester will properly read most small batteries because it *does* load the battery a bit when testing.

Very handy design nicely fitting all the many small batteries which I use, but 2 of 3 testers bought gave totally inaccurate readings (worse than .2v low) as compared to Fluke reference across battery while in tester and under possible test load of tester. 1 of 3 gave accurate readings.

The picture shows digital meter yet the ones I received were with a needle meter not what I had ordered. I have had several incorrect shipped items from Meritline.

Works like it supposed to. I really like the button cell checker. Would recommend for anyone that has batteries and checking condition of their batteries(s)

Handly little tester, but not exceptionally accurate. I tested about 20 assorted batteries I had lying around and the tester consistently measured about 0.05 V lower than my digital multimeter reported. Still, that is accurate enough for my uses and I know to add 0.05 V to whatever I test.
