Generally Meritline quality is decent but this item was total trash -- it didn't work out of the box and was very poorly put together.

It does NOT work on 1.5 Volts batteries. The numbers constantly jump back and forth anywhere from 1.00 Volts to 1.40 Volts and never stay still. It is good for 9 Volts batteries though and can display up to 19.99 Volts on the 9 Volts terminals. Maybe it was a bad batch because other reviews were good for this tester when used on 1.5 Volts. Mine was trash.

In my tester the Voltmeter goes up and down constantly two times per second and never shows the actual 1.5 Volts on any new battery. Piece of garbage. I got it for two thirty with a coupon so it's not even worth return shipping.

Works great. Love the digital display instead of the bar display. I had a draw full of batterys that was half full and now I know I don't have to toss them. Shipping was slow because at the time it was out of stock, but they made up for it because they put a tracking number on the shipment when they got it in and that sped it up.
