Meritline.com Verified Buyer This is a good,lightweight little headlamp.However it is not a "3-mode" as advertised.I was hesitant about ordering this light because it does not have the full over the head band like the 188-414-001 Cree headlamp that meritlne offers.However after receiving this light and trying it out it really fits good and stays in place very well where you aim it. It is much smaller and lighter that the other "3 mode" Cree headlight.As advertised it only takes 1 AA batery.The switch and light body seems very well built. The light holder is made of a soft rubber that tightens around the light when it is put on to keep it in place. Although not as bright as the 188-144-001 it is still a very bright light. The zoom works very well and when pulled back to wide out it is a great walking light.Overall I really like this light a lot but do not expect a "3 mode" light when you order one.

Not 3 mode as others mentioned. Not terribly bright but seems to have great battery life compared to the other 3-AAA headlamps I have. Two of the 4 I bought have a loose lens which pops out -- hopefully a short-term manufacturing glitch. Size, formfactor, and ease of adjustment make up for the shortcomings, as this is one of the first single AA headlamps I have been able to find. As soon as a brigher, better manufactured one comes out I would drop this one to 3 star but for now I would buy again, it's my current go-to headlamp for working on cars or outside in the dark.

Meritline.com Verified Buyer Rather nicely designed and could be rated highly except advertising not correct ... not 3 modes and does not include pouch. Also lens not flat/correctly positioned. I'd give this product a five star rating if it arrived as advertised and with a correctly fitting lens. Like that it uses 1 AA size battery. But not as bright as a "Cree Q3" AA flashlight.
