I received this item (7 Port USB 2.0 Hub, Power Strip Style, White) today. When I pluged it into my laptop my laptop hanged and I have to restart my laptop, on top of it when I restarted my laptop, connected this devise and plugged in my external hard disk it did not detect. I tried it with different flash drives in all the ports still non of them were detected, but when i plugin all my flash drives or external hard disks directly to my laptop every thing works fine. Then i concluded that i have wasted my money as i have got a product from meritline.com which is not in working condition. And on top of it meritline return policy says the customer has to bear all the shipping money to return it. This is the worst product and I will recommend everybody do not ever bye this. I have order 4 products from merit line for the first time and as of now I have received 2 products out of which one is not working and the the other one is a set of 'Rubber Ducky Bath Swimming Duck-2 pack' which are

Had only 2 ports on the back of the case.(sucked) Added this unit and it functions great even powers up a scale and gets ?'s from everyone who see it they all want one. Wish I was selling them.

I bought one of these back in December 2010. It seems to be working perfectly now that I have it and hyave gotten it installed connecting all my appliances to it. It took me 30 days to get the part after I ordered it though. Glad I didn't have to have it quickly.
