It was mailed from China in a plastic bag with no protection at all. The color is nice but received the item cracked and the box smashed. Didn't even try if it works since I had ordered the same white one. This cooler is not the type that you can put on your lap because the fans are exposed on the bottom. This type of cooler is more for use on flat surface. Not worth it if you want to put it on your lap. I returned the item and got my refund instead.

Very cheaply made. Fan blades are exposed making it impossible to put it on your lap. DO NOT BUY!

The design of 257-222-001 is good and the fan's quality should be okay. Seems the packing is a problem. It might a common problem that the power source shouldn't be connected to computer due to the electricity generated heat in the laptop and turned to fan to reduce heat. Therefore, you must use a source directly from AC with a converter AC to DC 5V. Hope it will be shipped from USA with plastic air-cushion paper bag / regular cardboard box protected.

Keeps laptop's temp under control, cable has USB outlet which will allow to connect other USB devices wit out wasting your outlets & delicate. It works for me
