This item speak's for it's self.it's a nice product for the fact that it could be used in the bed room at night,without disturbing any body.I will recommend it for those who work late at night.

It works ok but mostly depends on the location of the usb ports on your laptop. If those are only on the right side it might not be the best approach.

Works as advertised. My only concern is the effect it has on the USB port, i.e. pulling it in out frequently... but I guess that's true of any device. It needs the weight of a netbook or larger to support it, so an auxilliary hub doesn't work

I don't know how many of these are bad, but mine was. It has a short in it so does not stay on. Meritline was very kind in giving me a refund without my having to return it. As to the product, even if it worked, it a problem: It does not work with secondary USB ports like on my monitor and that's where I wanted to use it. When it works, it only works with a primary port where I don't need it. I'd say if have a primary port to plug it in where it will do you good, and if you can get it for $3-4, it might be worth it to take a chance on it. If it doesn't work, ask meritline for a refund.
