quite a disappointing purchase. first, the product's instruction manual was all CHINESE! secondly, it uses an unconventional battery, and there's no indication as to how to insert or remove the battery. it's lying waste here, and i've ran out of ideas as to what to make of it. recommend? watch out before you buy, even though it's $13

There is no indication ANYWHERE on the entire internet as to what kind of battery this thing takes. It certainly doesn't take a AA or AAA battery, and I'm not about to go buy a bunch of different short, squat batteries just to see if one of them fits.

This item requires 12v Alkaline battery, and the battery information is available in product feature section on the product page.

Works as advertised -- basically up/down buttons on the keyboard. Mine included english documentation. Not the most stylish or small, but does its job. (Note about Batteries: You slide the bottom of the presenter (with the clip) off after moving a ``hold'' switch on the side. It takes an A23-type battery.)

Just got it and seems to work just fine. Actually came with battery, which I didn't expect. Only thing missing was a protective cap for the USB plug but no big deal. For the price, can't be beat.

GREAT PURCHASE! 1. My classroom is around 20 ft. in length, 15 in width. The clicker works anywhere in the room. 2. You don't need to point it at the computer. Even works from under the table. Works even if you point it at the opposite wall. Just won't work if someone's sitting directly in front of you and you try to point it and expect it to go through them. 3. Great price. 4. The laser has a small, very precise red dot - perfect for pointing out details in paintings. 5. They include a small battery so you can start using it immediately. I found it in my mailbox an hour before my presentation, and it worked really well. No fuss. 6. Comes in a great-looking, very compact pouch which is easy to carry around. 7. Free shipping! It was delivered before time.

This remote is amazing-- works better than remotes costing 5 times the price! The "unconventional battery' that some users refer to is actually quite common-- it's used in many garage door openers. I bought my batteries at Walmart... so they are very easy to find. You don't need instructions with this-- it's plug and play!

Great product/Great price! Uses the same battery as many garage door openers (bought my batteries at Walmart, so you can get them anywhere). Be careful with the buttons, as they wear out.
