Note that this device outputs 1A but most other car USB outlets output 2.1A for iPhones. This will probably charge slowly (if at all).

This little plug works fine, and areal bargain for the price. While the output is 1 amp, it is more than adequate for most phones and will charge a tablet- albeit slowly- if you allow it time. The low profile blends in perfectly and the release handle is a genius design feature. The single USB port when combined with the apropriate cable gives you the versatility to charge/use most devices without concern, and the active L.E.D. lets you know it is powerd up. For the money, you can't expect more, and at 3 times the price, you really would'nt get more.

Way cool. Great fit. Looks custom. Little light gently illuminates the car's power outlet area without being any distraction at all. Ordered a second unit for a friend. One amp is enough for almost anything.

Actually, 1 amp is plenty for an iPHONE, it's an iPAD that requires more. . .

As noted, works for phones (have not tried iPad). Nice to have the little handle to help pull it out (other chargers this small can be hard to pull out). For the reviewer that leaves in in all the time, make sure that the outlet is not powered when the card is off (you could run down the battery).

I love this little thing. It's not big or bulky. I don't smoke, that makes it even better yet as I don't have to remove it to use a lighter! It's easy to use that's a great feature too, you don't have to read a book of instructions to figure it out. It's very self explanatory! Most cell phones nowadays have usb cables so it's good for just about all of them. What's not to like?!!
