Binocular Terms:
  • Magnification - Magnification is the degree to which the object is enlarged. With a 8x30 binocular, the object will appear to be Eight times closer than without the aid of a binocular.
  • Objective Lens - The number immediately following the "x" is the diameter in millimeters of the objective (front) lens. The larger the front lenses the more light that is allowed to enter the binocular.

I bought two of these and both came with cracks in the lenses. I did not notice them at first, but one of my kids looked through them backwards and told me about them. They are clearly visible and very disappointing.

Narrow angle, and only fair eye relief, but they're light and have pretty good optical quality, which is great for the price!

I got this for my 5 year old.it was so flimsy it broke down on the first day .my five year old tried to adjust the resolution when it just broke down in half.not even worth the 10 dollars listed

I purchased these binoculars and they came with the pouch and cleaning cloth just as advertised. They are excellent. I would suggest them to anyone who is looking to by them.

These binoculars give new meaning to the word junk. Cannot focus right optical to match left. Not enough range on + - ring.

The binoculars are structured well but the optics are poor outside the center area of view. Good for a child for a first pair of binoculars.

I originally bought the binoculars for my 8 year old grand-daughter as she loved to watch the birds in our yard. She loved them and took them everywhere since they are so compact and surprisingly very sturdy. We tried to borrow them on a recent trip to New Zealand but unfortunately she wouldn't part with them. Very good buy and I'll have to purchase a set for myself.

These are extremely basic. There is one unexpected problem. THEY STINK. I mean literally, they smell. The rubber's smell is INTENSE, to put it lightly. That said, its still a good deal at this price. But KNOW what you're gonna be getting. You WILL notice it.
