    The flashlight is great when it works. I purchased one at Christmas, for a friend, and by March the switch had failed. If you do your research, on this unit, you will find that switch failure is the main issue. Unfortun ately, the construction is such that, the switch can be neither accessed or removed and thus the unit becomes a throw-away. This unit is great when it works and I have no complaints about the construction or rugged nature of the structural design but the sritch is the weak point in the item.

    I have to agree with Tom. I thought this would be a great emergency flashlight. But after using it a couple of times, the switch failed (stopped working completely!). If the designer could rethink the switch, this would be a great flashlight. But,for now, it's a paperweight!

    poor quality. Switch problem. When i contacted meritline, they asked me to send it back with rma. well i had to pay the shipping which was $6.00. The replacement had the same problem!!!! Stay away until they improve the switch.

    The light itself is great but the plastic or chemical smell from the body is so strong that I couldn't leave it a my bedside, I couldn't fall asleep,so I had to leave it in another room; the smell also stays on your hand.

    Well above expectations. Appears well made, sturdy, and durable. Bright light with effective beam. One led DOA but 99 is more than enough. Recommend.

    I saw some reviews that said the switch had a problem. I did not experience that. Great product so far and great deal. It will light up a 200 foot driveway.

    i had it 1 week. never used it. only to see how bright it was. narrow light. but very bight and goes far. i kept it in my car. took it out to use it. did not work. i guess the battery pushed the part inside too much in and would only work if i pointed it downward. no battery connection

    My light works fine. Bright as heck. Not a very good spot but will illuminate a room. The problem I saw was that it consumed 4 AA Lithium batteries after about 1 1/2 hours of use. LITHIUM. I bet regular Duracells are merely a warm up for this power hungry, unregulated beast. So now I plan to use it as an emergency light only and I went back to my Mag lite for my normal use.
