I am extremely delight with this purchase. The item is high quality, well constructed, an excellent value for the price. I saw many inferior products like this case from other online retailers that were much more money. The delivery was within the week of ordering and delivered on a Sat. for FREE. The only thing I would have liked more was to have the case in all silver but the two-tone black and silver is gorgeous. This case has the reinforced corners that are mirror polished. A good company to buy from a great product first purchase experience.

Great product. Worked as expected. Time consuming at first to punch out the slots and label each hanging sleeve. (about 4 hours for 400 dvds) I only did 1 dvd per sleeve for the sake of being able to add to it later and keep things alphabetical. Very durable. Closing the lid holds hanging sleeves in place so you could tip it on it's side. The latches can be locked but I could only get one to lock. I personally can not think of any reason to ever lock it though so I put the keys some place where I'm sure to lose them. This was exactly what I was looking for to be able to organize my dvds for easy access and still be able to add to the collection without much difficulty. I used folders before... take a 200 dvd folder that is alphabetized and try to add 1 new DVD to it and keep it alphabetized... Way too much work.

Case fairly good quality. Individual DVD holders not great, some missing. Insert slots for DVDs are perforated but not removed, so this must be done by hand. Annoying and a hassle when doing 1000 of them!

Will not fit 1000 discs in it! The case is awesome but fits 950-960. I still think it is the best bang for the buck. I put my entire DVD collection in it. I alphabatized all of them and put them in 1 by 1. I had to remove the cutouts on each of them which added to the time. I would suggest making an excel file with all of your titles because the index list to fill out is small and hard to read even though I filled it out. Very pleased with it so far. Just need to figure out what to do with all the old cases now! Good buy if you don't mind putting the time in.

I was looking for a solution to lose the "wall of CDs" and this is it. Case is a mix of plastic/aluminum...and the lid is a bit flimsy...but feels solid when filled with CDs. The kind of case you'd probably want to use strictly for home storage...not for hauling CDs out and about. Had to punch out the windows on the plastic sleeves...but no big deal. I've been able to store the CD insert and physical CD on each side...of course thicker booklets make for a tight fit. For the price paid...this storage solution is tough to beat!

This was an amazing buy. Absolutely pleased with this product. Nicely constructed, durable, extremely fashionable BUT... the case does not hold 1000 dvds/cds. although it comes with 500 double sided sleeves, placing a disc on both sides of the sleeve make it impossible to cram 250 discs per row. I've found that the max is actually 240 per row making it a total of 960 dvds/cds max. Also, the sleeves DO NOT COME WITH THE CUT-OUTS REMOVED! I spent well over 4 hours removing every cut-out (4 per sleeve!) and that just plain sucked. Overall, I would recommend this product to any collector BUT would warn them of actual capacity and all the work that is involved!

This case is great if you have a large number of CDs or DVDs you want to store and keep in order. I ordered this same case last year at another store and the price was about $10 higher tham Meritline. Probably next year when my new case is full I will be buying another from Meritline.

I ordered 2 of these, and was planning to order more. Mainly because of the free shipping. (The other 2 cases still have free shipping). Well, its not free anymore. I wrote to Meritline and never heard a single word as to why. Its very frustrating to be re=organizing a collection and have more money tacked on to something just because you need it. All I want to know it that happened tot eh free shipping? and why are the other 2 cases still free?
