Wow... Yes, this does "look cheap".. But I have a USB dongle (that I also ordered from Meritline for under $10).. This dongle has a standard removable antenna on it... so I tested it out.. with the standard antenna I picked up 5 networks with 1 being unsecured... Then I plugged in this satalite dish-looking thing instead... I was able to count 25 different wireless networks now... and it changed depending on the direction that I face it (so there might be even more) And the networks I picked up before that were 1 or 2 bars are now 4 & 5 bars... Awesome!

My wireless router is in my bedroom, I have a spare PC in the living room for the kids. No matter what I tired, I could not get a stable signal even with other products and external "High Power" antennae. I figured at this price, it's worth a shot at another external antenna. So far so good. Signal strength is a little better than my previous antenna and no more disconnects. Well worth the price. Will probably buy more in the future. :)

I bought this because I was in need of an antenna that was not attached to my card since my PC sits in a way that the back of my PC faces away from my AP. Once I installed this and pointed it at my AP I was full signal strength! Well worth the price!!

Thought this was for a portable tv, what do I know, I'm not a techie. Apparently its the wrong frequency for a tv? Looks cute and maybe some day I'll get a gadget I can use this with. I love meritline, they are always prompt to ship and have nice gadgets.

Yes this item is as cheap looking as it appears in this pic. However it works great. I am able to get a strong signal through several walls to my HTPC now. Well worth 9 bucks.

Forgot why and for what I bought this when it arrived, but ended up using on a wireless camera and IT WORKS GREAT! Much better reception than the standard short stick antenna that came with the receiver box of the wireless camera system.

it works as an antenna but only as one of 2 db. Not as good as my 5db antenna.

Slightly better than 2dBi uni-directional whip antenna, worse than 9dBi whip, and MUCH worse than my laptop's internal antenna. OK if you do NOT have built-in WiFi, otherwise I'd skip this one.
