To Sandeep: The adapter you got can possibly be one that is manufactured by realtek. But the ones I got from somewhere else with the same appearance were manufactured by Ralink. This is not a fraud. you can identify the manufactured and series of the chipset used by looking up the hardware IDs in device manager for the adapter. The hardware id looks like: VEN_XXXX&DEV_YYYY XXX is the vendor ID, and YYYY is the device ID Go to pci database (google it) and enter the vedor id and device id to search for the real manufacturer. Often you can also determine the exact model/series from the database.

they sent the wrong drivers with it so i had to download them from windows update. shipping took forever but otherwise product works good

OS: WinXP The software driver is from REALTEK (which I think is fraud) as this device is not linked to any particular brand. As as expected it does not work with the device. If I need to download the drivers from the internet I wouldn't buy this product would I?? To top it all it doesn't have a brand name for me to search the drivers for. Extremely disappointed!!! Return policy is even more ridiculous.

I bought two of these USB wifi-n receivers. Both set up and ran first time with minimal intervention from me! The antennae supplied pulls a good strong signal, and if your computer is under a desk as mine is, it is worth getting an extension cable and larger aerial .. but watch out which model of antenna you buy-the one I got produced a much lower signal that the small one supplied with the usb wifi receiver. The software for windows (xp and 7) runs well and sets up easily. Even on my very old compaq with USB1.0 ports, the wireless connection gives 72 Mbp speed, and via the USB 2.0 port on another machine there is no problem getting to the rated maximum of 150Mbps. A great product! Speedy delivery and excellent service once again!

Was unable to install the software on the wife's dell laptop, but had no problem working it on my Samsung net book. Worked well and the speeds it shows with this are 72mbs, vs. 54mps without, thou I can't verify if those are true or not, but it seems to work
