I've had one for at least 8 months and just ordered two more - one for my second kitchen and one for the cooler I regularly take out in my boat. The articulated two stage lip brace works better than others that aren't articulated. That helps avoid "corkers" where you tend to insert the corkscrew too far and get cork in the wine. the knife is better than most, but a few swipes on the smooth side with a steel and a ceramic sharpener takes the burr off the blade and makes it very effective. Good quality for the price.

This is a knock off of great Pulltap corkscrews. It's not a bad product but the original models are better. First the foil cutter does not cut as well, the serrations don't dig into the foil as well as the original. Second the screw is thicker than the original, making it more difficult to insert and more likely to split the cork. It was cheap and easy to carry around.

Product is good. Service on this order has been close to horrible. I ordered 10, received 5, notified Meritline, they asked me what I wanted to do, I said send the rest, received 1, YES 1, 5 weeks after the first 5 came. Still no response since notifying them on Friday, the 7th of January, 2010.

Once you've mastered this kind of two-stage waiter's corkscrew then no other design compares. Flawless and elegant, it lends a certain smoothness to uncorking wine. The design also makes easy work of the most stubborn, tight or dry corks.
