Shipping was faster than I expected. The PCMCIA card worked like a dream on my aging IBM T30 latop. It took just 2 minutes to install the driver with the accompanying disc. I finally have a 2.0 usb port to run my devices faster. Highly recommended!

Finally got to add a USB 2.0 to my old laptop. works fine and just occupies an unused PCMCIA port. Best use for a PCMCIA on an old computer without usb 2.0 or a newer one that needs a couple more. Works on Windows 2000, XP and ubuntu linux without a single problem!

Think someone erred saying VIA/NEC same thing then someone corrected that email and offered a full refund. No RMA needed. So if this shorts out or has a conflict make sure it says NEC on the product. If it doesn't it's VIA so it might be an issue. And meritline is normally rather understanding. :)

Inserted the card, installed the driver and it works. Does not stick out from the laptop, it is flush. Ships from Singapore in about 7 days it arrived.

The USB ports on my Dell died on me. I thought I was out of luck, until I remembered the unused PCMIA card slot. I ordered this port from Meritline, installed it, and immediately had two USB 2.0 ports again! Thanks, Meritline!
