Don't download update as it may download 3rd party driver and it conflicts with the NEC driver. Use Windows update is ok. Actually the NEC software comes with the CD works fine and no download is needed. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

The first received one had broken part, returned and refunded. Received 2nd one, installed software, downloaded and installed updates. But, it didn't recognized 2 2TB HD on my Cavalry dual dock. Finally, after turned off or disabled the USB3.0 Power Maintenance, it works flawlessly.

Found the card to work very well. Easy install Win 7. Copy from SSD to USB 3.0 drive peak 180MBS, Avg 130MBS.

A two port no-name USB 3.0 device that works with PCIe X1 that comes with standard and low-profile chassis. Got it on one of the sale-days and I am happy with it. Had to hunt around to find the current drivers for this. Half the time I could not detect it, there was a non-supported wireless card installed that 'stepped' on this device, user error, not the USB controller problem. I have been using this with WD My Book 3.0, specifically for USB 3.0 and have been satisfied with the performance.
