This is a solid, high quality, attractive item. It provides clear, high powered magnification. You will NOT be able to read a newspaper with this; you will NOT be able to read in the dark with it; it does NOT have auto-focus. It is not a "magnifying glass" in the common meaning of the term. If you don't really know what a loupe is and do not have a specific need for it, it's not for you. You won't be happy with it. (Thought I better point all that out given some of the comments thus far.)

I'm no jeweler but it helps me check those tiny surface mount components & cold solder joints on circuit boards. I was also able to see and take out the splinters a couple of weeks ago. Great to have one handy. Thanks ML.

The loop is usable but is not great. It is just a little too small to see very clearly. I can see better with my larger 12X than this small 10X or the even smaller 20X.

It's just what it says it is and it works well. I honestly can't see too much of a difference between the 10x and 20x loupe, which makes me wonder if their magnification rating is correct, but it definitely worth the money.
