Meritline got the cable to me on time and it is a nice, sturdy cable... and with meritline, it was a steal of a deal. I bought the cable to run my laptop through my big screen HDTV. It works, but not at full 1080P resolution. To be sure, I tried a shorter HDMI cable and I was able to get 1080P from the laptop, but no matter how many times I retried, I got no signal when I tried 1080P with this cable. So, I had to settle for a lower resolution. I'm going to try a 15 ft or 3 M long cable next. Given the price, it was worth a try and it least works, even if not perfectly.

People below were lucky. Theirs work, even if it is not as advertised/below spec. I ordered this back in September, and stored this wire away till when I finally had a use for it. That day was today. I have two 25ft HDMI cable. One that works perfectly well from another company, and this one. First, I plugged it into my desktop. The screen is green, and only works during the BIOS/POST. Presumably, once it reaches a screen that isn't black, it stops working. My other 25 cable works fine. Second, I tried it on my PS3. No good. I'm not getting any picture. DO NOT BUY - Invest your hard earn money elsewhere.

The cable size seems more suitable for 6 foot length. It works but when connected to my 1x8 splitter but causes my 8300HD DVR to handshake only 2 channel PCM audio, whether the connected TV is on or off. I have to disconnect it if I want to establish a DD 5.1 audio connection with other devices. The DD audio works on the connected TV once it's reconnected, but I shouldn't have to hot-swap the cable. I have no such problem with several other 25 foot cables even with the same TV. Also, the picture seems to suffer some loss of brightness and contrast compared to higher gauge cables.

RE: "*BEEz*" I bought this cable to connect my PC to my HDTV and it works perfectly! My PC's video card can output in 1080p. Some laptop video cards don't have the power to push 1080p 25 feet. This is more than likely your problem. So, your 2 star rating should apply to your laptop, NOT the cable! I'm perfectly happy with the performance of this cable and especially the fantastic price! It's a steal of a bargain! FIVE STARS!!!

Great product. Does what it's suppose to do. Long cable allows me to watch videos on TV and use my laptop comfortably on my couch ten feet away. It was always a struggle before with the short HDMI cables. Fairly fast delivery.

I've purchase a great many HDMI cables ranging from Expensive Name Brand to Generic Brands to use for different projects. I purchased this cable for a personal home project, and thus far, I have not been disappointed with the quality of these HDMI cables from Meritline. Some cables, including the higher priced name brands, have failed after a short period of use or have been defective straight out of the packaging. Personally, I think these cables are a good value and a good quality relative to the price. I'll purchase again.
