    The screwdriver that comes with it cannot open the case, using it just stripped the screws. I was finally able to open it with a different screwdriver, but I had to put new screws in. Other than that it works fine.

    Classy looking enclosure, two connections, cables, screw/driver set, but cheaply made (or poorly designed) enclosure screw connection that doesn't hold the cover to prevent it from opening and exposing the drive/connections.

    +functional -poor construction (e.g. screws cannot be tightened) -poor design, need to disassemble the whole thing to put in hard drive

    I have been using this product for a while now. I didn't have any issues inserting my HDD or tightening the screws to the case. I am satisfied, though please note - if you are looking for an on/off switch, then this product doesn't have it even though it is stated so in the product features.

    Plastic end plates are held in place with small screws. Their holes are insufficiently tapped into the aluminum body. There's not enough aluminum stock to accept the screws. Poor design.

    This is my second HD enclosure (Exactly the same one). Reason? I am very satisfied with the product's performance look and price. I am using my old 80 GB hitachi 2.5" hard drive as my back up. The instruction manual says, the recommended HD is 120GB or less. To correct this limitations, you can always partition the hard drive before installation.

    Great product. The only thing that I do not like is the activity lights are hidden when the pouch is on. In other models, the usb interface is on the same side as the activity lights so that you can see them.

    i got this one for my laptop hard disk which was lying around. this enclosure works just fine. best part is it only needs one usb port (unlike my previous enclosure which needed two usb ports). i am using this as my external hdd for Wii and works like a charm.

    I bought totally 5 of this enclosure. They all work good for me. I first bought one and test it if it can be recognized by the Wii (use it for Wii's external HD),and it works perfectly, then I buy more. SATA and IDE compatible is excellent design, it's one for all purpose. Highly recommended.
