This product works as expected. I had an old Laptop IDE drive that I now use as primary disk in my desktop. Boots up just fine like a regular disk. Works great. Shipping was amazingly fast for basic ground shipping.

Works great. Inexpensive. Didn't come with any packaging or documentation, just a bit of bubble wrap. Easy to figure out without instructions. If someone can't figure it out, then they probably have no business touching computer hardware in the first place.

Works perfectly. Even worked using the SATA / PATA adaptor.

This adapter saved my butt. It took forever to arrive, but finally I was able to fix my laptop drive.

Just what I needed. Took a while to ship from HongKong. The price was cheap and free shipping.

I added this to my external drive hook-up kit (molex & usb to ide/sata cable). Many old 2.5" IDE drives draw more current than the 500mA that USB ports are rated for. Using this, the drives get enough power from my kit's AC adapter to spin up. A must have for repair techs!

Works just like it should allows me to plug a laptop 2.5 or 3.5" drive into my USB adapter and check them. Great little adapter for the money.

Worked great. The adapter when connected to the drive falls below the drive a little. So it is not suitable if you wish to attach the drive to say an external enclosure intended for a 3.5" drive (unless you get longer screws and some spacers).

Got the same thing from someone else. Don't entirely see how this fits on a normal 2.5 inch drive. It does, but if you've got two extra pins on that drive you'll have to risk bending the IDE pins slightly because the green board gets in the way. If it's to get stuff off a drive that is going in for warranty cool, but otherwise avoid it.

Hey, it works — and it doesn't cost much. If you like quiet computers, you can use this to put a silent 2.5 inch drive in your machine, replacing that 3.5 inch screamer. The only thing I don't like is that some of the metal contacts are exposed. Careful placement should prevent any problems. Or maybe some selectively placed electrical tape, if you want to be extra cautious.
