Directions for iPhones (1G & 3G):

It works, fits, and charges very well with the 1st Gen Iphone. The sound is of-course, average. Easy to connect. Just turn the car radio to any fm station that cannot receive any reception, then turn the device to the same station, connect the iPhone.

Occasionally stops transmitting. Rattles. Muffled sound. Works with my 3gs though. Could be worth $10 if you're in a good mood.

this product is so bad.... that it is not even holding my iphone.. not sitting in the 12v power socket. its not worth for even getting for free.

The remote is useless - there is no display on the remote (just a sticker) - Meritline needs to mention this in their advertising as looking at the online picture leads one to believe that the remote has a display on it.

Pros: Great product for the price. It works well and charges my 3G phone.FM trans was better than expected once a clear channel is found. Cons: Remote sensor is blocked by the phone once seated and requires to be pointed at a weird angle to operate. Mounting was limited due to outlet location but not really a con since this is due to the vehicle. LED sometimes doesnt display FM freq. My phone sometimes interrupts and blocks the FM signal and requires airlplane mode. Other: An extended plug in or additional "bend" would assist with outlets in tight spots.

this charger does not hold the iphone and also cable charger wire also very small.you should not buy this item

The portion of the device that goes into your power socket is way too long. It causes the device to stick way out (about 4 inches), so far in my car that I can't have it connected while the car is in park because it gets in the way of the gear stick. Other than that, it works well, but because of the form factor, it's too inconvenient.

This product sucks. It worked only once and doesn't turn on ever since then. Won't recommend it at all. First bad product I received from Meritline.

Terrible product. The charger is such a strange shape and does not fit my car well. The charger is functional, but the phone holder is completely useless. Avoid this item.

Bad Product. The display works when plugged but power is interrupted during start/stops, the display does not work. Need to unplug and plug again. Remote does not work - period....

This product does what it says it does. The FM transmitter is not too weak and has a good range of stations you can use. The item is great at charging the an iPhone and other devices via the usb port on the device. Not a bad product at all for the cheap price.

Good product for the price. I don't know about the remote control though. Doesn't seem to function. Nonetheless, product does as stated; charges, holds, and plays music from the iPod.
