Bought this for my mothers machine as it only had USB 1.1 ports. It had an issue with a couple PCI slots where the PC would not post when powered up. But, when placed in a usable slot, it worked flawlessly. This is an inexpensive card that works, period. I lucked out with my mom's PC as it had 3 free PCI slots, and the card only worked in one of them. In all, a good card and I recommend. Cons would be if you have an older PC, you may have some compatability problems with shared IRQ's amongst slots...

I could check only the USB ports & found them working. I was unable to check the Firewire ports as I had no device to suit the connector provided in the Firewire cable supplied. I feel happy with this purchase as far as the working of the USB ports are concerned & recommend to others as there was no installation problem. Thanks.

I bought 2 of these the first,time couldn't get them to work ! Meritline,exchanged them O. K. But when i installed one of them it KILLED ! my computer !!! so my experience with the cards,has not been good. all i wanted was to up-date the USB ports ! BTW,this is the first products from Meritline that i've had any problems with !! Thanks A.J.

Having problems operating all inputs on this card. Windows Vista Premium not recognizing all devices. I'll keep working on it.Vista is probably the culprit here but.. no problem with the existing usb connections.

I have used this product multiple times. Purchased it for work. It works very well. You do need to consider where you will use it, the USB built in connector cord is very short just a couple of inches which is fine for general use.

Installed fine and ran fine from the start. Within a day of plugging devices into the USB hubs got blue screen of death on XP pro. First time in a year of ownership that ever happened on that pc. Unplugged the usb devices from the card (used hub connected to mb usb's, but left card in and pc has run fine since. Haven't tried the Firewire yet. So it is definitely worth the price for looks and bragging rights of how many usb ports you have. :)

Kind of useless, since the USB ports are blocked by the edge of the cutouts for the PCI slots on my computer case.

I ordered 2 of these,tried the first 2 and they didn't work,the company, RMA,them no problem. but the replacements,were worse,they killed my computer ! ! so i won't buy any more of these. I,buy lots of things from Meritline,and this is the first problem i've ever had !

Didn't work for me. My Sony Video CAM is recognized, but cannot playback, record etc. So I wouldn't call the card bad, but would complain that there was no documentation or any we link to pursue for troubleshooting

Everything installed fine, but when trying to get it to work with Windows Movie Maker it won't work and just locks up the program.
