The three sockets work but not the USB charger. I have to order the cable seperately and it works when connected to other charger but not with this one.

I would've given more stars if the product didn't take a month to arrive because the sockets and the USB port works for me (I read ppl's complaint on the USB not working). So yeah, the 1-month shipping just killed 2 stars there.

Perfect for my needs. I had a splitter with a cord lead, but wanted one that was rigid so indicator lights could be seen and my radar detector could be muted easily. This did the trick.

So far, I've been very pleased with this product. The lighter plug itself is on an elbow, so you can pivot the entire assembly 90 degrees upward...this keeps device cables from interfering with the shift console. One thing that's interesting about the USB charger on this unit compared to the stand-alone USB-to-LighterPlug add-on I'd used before: On my Archos player, once plugged in to this unit, it asks if I want to charge only or access the drive, whereas the other charger never gave this message. This tells me that my device behaves more like it is plugged into an actual USB port on a computer. Will it charge better? Who knows. All I know is that this device is built well and works VERY well for the money.

I have been using this 12 volt socket adapter with USB for a couple of months now. I really like it; the USB port keeps my GPS charged, one of the 12V ports charges my cell and another keeps the radar detector working. I really like the variety of positions the multidirectional joint allows. It also stays in place, unlike other triple socket adapters I have used. The one thing I don't like is the great difficulty in removing plugs from the sockets; I have not succeeded yet, and I'm afraid if I pull too hard something will break. Looks like once it's in, it's in.

Used this product for 3 months with one minor problem. Since the power is split, the GPS couldn't charge properly. Once I removed this and only ran the GPS in the outlet, it was fine. However, after 3 months, it has failed completely. If you don't mind having to replace it every few months, go for it. I'll be getting a better quality item.

Not worth the money. The minute I hooked in to my car. The battery started discharging and in one hour my car battery was dead. Just a piece of junk not worth the money and cheap is always cheap.

I have bought one. I've connected to my phone and my 3.5” GPS system. After 4 hours of use: strong smell of burning plastic. It was permanently lost, since it was even distorted.

I did not use this right away. However, I probably started using it about 1 month ago. I've used it probably 50% of the time during my daily commute. Last Friday I removed it from the socket and the tip had broken off inside the socket leaving the fuse, the center conductor and the tip. It didn't break at section where tip threads on but further down at a glue seal. This seems like a design flaw owing to the cantilever moment (force * dist) placed on the plug. Devices hanging off the sockets place a strong cantilever moment which caused it to snap. Additionally it is a bulking chunk of equipment to be anywhere near the driver's wheel. Even with the swivel, it is easy bump when turning a corner (in my focus) or with my knee or leg (in my dodge caravan). I moved to this because the corded version (SKU: 401-029-001) had strain relief problems where the very cheap power cable met the case so that several frayed. I still haven't found a good solution. like others have said, three sockets work but USB port does not. It does triple the amount of things I can plug in so it does it purpose and for the price I can't really complain. I just bought a dual USB port charger for my ipod touch and my cell phone and that works great.

I have 05 model car,pre MP3 ready with 3 teens. This really helps. Just make sure that your charger doesn't keep charging when you shut off your car. Mine shuts off automatically with the car.

Worked well for a couple months, but now does not work anymore in one of my cars, I use it with my iPhone FM transmitter I bought at meritline. The adapters seem to get stuck in there and it is a little hard to remove.

I got this around 6-7 months back for $2.99. Working fine without any issues, even the USB port is also working for me. Some days back because of short circuit the fuse is blown, if someone knows what ampere fuse I should get, please let me know.

The USB charger is not working in my car. I have purchased two items from meritline to change my Sony MP3 player. But both the USB chargers are not wokring. I don't know why the meritline USB chargers are not working for me. It is not work for the $ what I spend. :-( . The other three socket adapters are working fine with out any issue.

Pros: 3 additional adapter ports and 1 USB port. Fits in my car pretty well Cons: Does not stay in one place, I bought it to plug my iPhone/transmitter/handsfree unit I purchased from meritline, but it does not stay stable once I put my iPhone in it. It would be great if the swivel had a locking mechanism so it would move around

Good for the price. Functions normally. Only issue is car dependent, I have a slight clearance problem with my cupholders when this is installed (it sits right above them), but the adapter does what it's suppose to do.
