This flashlight is a great value. The body is very rugged with lots of knurled ribs for good grip. The light is amazingly bright (I tried it out with some almost dead batteries from another gadget and it still is blindingly bright) and the beam pattern is superb. There is no dark spot in the center of the beam like with a maglite yet the beam is surprisingly focused. The light color is as close to white as I've ever seen in an LED flashlight, with only the slightest hint of blue.

The first one I received flashed on and off in a split second and then it was completely dead. Customer Service replaced it and I put some old batteries in the new flashlight. It worked fine for a little while, so I put new batteries in it. The light came on and was brighter for about half of a second, then it died. Great customer service from Meritline.

Very good build quality on the case/lens, but both led modules were not seated in the heat sink (found out after the fact) and lasted 2 seconds. The original shipment and the replacement had these problems. Check before turning on for the first time or else! Battery holder cheap and touchy. Excellent customer service though.
