Unlike seemingly everyone else to review this, I knew exactly what I was ordering, and what to use it on. We have a new passive 3D TV that uses RealD circular polarization. But despite the description clearly stating these will work, they are incompatible. A quick test is to look in a mirror, which shows that these are NOT circular polarization glasses, as uses by RealD theaters and TVs, but they are linear polarization, as uses by IMAX and many amusement parks. Do not buy, with such an inaccurate description, you'll have no idea what you will get.

Great substitute for the paper glasses received with purchased dvds.

In spite of the bogus review that claims these will work with DVDs, they absolutely will not. They are circular polarized glasses that will only work in a theater. They will not work with any existing home 3D system, most of which require active LCD shutter glasses, some crude DVDs use Red/Blue glasses. As to the claim of theaters giving discounts if you bring your own glasses, I would like to hear of any that does so but so far have not found any.

I own several pairs of these (none bought from Meritline). I recommend strongly against buying them (if you live the US, at least). You can only use them at a RealD 3D theater, and NOT AT HOME at all. No theater I've ever been to (in the U.S.) has given me a discount for bringing my own glasses. If you want a pair, you can carry them out of the US theaters for free. (BTW, they CANNOT be safely used as sunglasses.) But, it's up to you; good shopping! ;-) [P.S. Why do my valid reviews keep getting removed? I *OWN* this product. Also, it states in the reviewing guidelines "You do not need to be a customer to write a review."]

I have not used them yet so I don't know if they work or how they work. There are no instructions with them so, I am not sure what they work on.
