Meritline.com Verified Buyer I found this HUB to be easy to use and reliable. Never have I had to figure out why any device plugged into this hub was not working, they all do. I do not turn it off, though I might save on electricity my feeling is leave well enough alone. I have a notebook so of course USB ports are limited. The first USB hub I bought was a different brand and had a plug in ac adapter. It wreaked havoc notebook and I think caused my hard drive to go. I got the message of conflicting devices... etc. That was just after windows turned itself off after giving me the terrifying message of "windows has encountered a serious blah blah blah and had to shut down...." So I've learned that compatible, well made USB hubs is really important. I figured being able to turn this off would make it safer. But thus far no conflicts. Everything that is plugged into it, including my optical mouse, works fine. That includes my digital camera cord, my digital voice recorder. My external hard drive and external

Meritline.com Verified Buyer This is my favorite USB hub I have EVER owned. The power switch is a wonderful feature. I made it even more user friendly by sticking a strip of velcro along the bottom so it sits firmly on the little shelf of my computer desk.
