The light itself is excellent. the center LED has a reflector and the outer ones aim out at around 60 degrees for side visibility. It is bright and the blue lights seem to enhance the effect. A separate on/off switch would be nice as there are too many useless modes to scroll through each use. The clip is typical cheap Chinese. If you tighten it enough to keep it from drooping or sliding in use it will break. It also slides out easily without any catch and will get lost if not secured. A few strategic drops of epoxy makes it useable.

My wife and I ordered 1 each. One DOA as it is missing the metal strip for batteries connection. The second one has a short at the 2 battery terminals; It worked after I removed the short. Obviously there was no Quality Control what so ever!

I would like to give this tail light 5 stars but it has two major problems. First, if you clip on adapter as opposed to the seat post bracket, you will find that light cannot lock into place securely. I had to use glue to secure into place. Second, the clip on doesn't secure lock over the reflecting belt of saddle bag because there is a small gap that if you hit a bump, the light will pop out. Eventhough the light itself is super bright, the product is not designed well.

Usage: Clipped to the seat bag on my road bike. Pro: There is no lens between the light and the clear plastic lens making this one of the brightest bike lights I have seen. I am using this instead of the $15 rear light. LOW cost!!! At least 5 or 6 functions. The two purple lights seem to add some brightness. Con: Weak strap as on many of the cheaper lights so do not over tighten if you mount it on the seat post. Note: Not the best clip on the back. I ended up using a tie wrap from the bag to the clip to help prevent it from falling off.

It does the job. I dropped it while trying to mount it on my bike and chipped some plastic off the face plate. It's not too bad though because the bike seat prevents water from falling onto the unit and letting water in. I had to use a utility knife to cut off some of the rubber that prevented me from securing the bracket to the seat post. Once it's mounted you'll be okay. I like the different light modes and it truly is visible at night so it does help keep me safe while biking on the road.

Pros: Well the lights are bright and could save your life. Clothing clip is pretty sturdy. Cons: Does not seem very weatherproof. Way too many modes; you have to pay a lot of attention to shut it off. The bicycle bracket seems sturdy but it is totally unrelated to the light.

I bought this for my son and he loves it. It's bright enough during the night and it's fun.
