I bought two of these and use one when I take a 30-minute walk in our not very bright neighborhood. With brand new alkaline batteries installed, the light output dropped after three nights. I am disappointed. But it is bright when it sucks up the juice from new batteries. The other one was given to a friend and I felt sorry now.

Best flashlight we own. I should have bought two: my wife assumed ownership. The battery life must be great, it still is bright as ever, and she uses it frequently. Construction is solid and hefty, especially the switch. That seems to be the problem on other LED flashlights we have.

This is the brightest flashlight! I love it. It's small yet durable and 4 AA batteries keeps the weight of the flashlight low. for the price I highly recommend this.

This flashlight came with three modes, but I could not tell any difference in output regardless of setting. Other flashlights sold my Meritline are far better.

After getting the first one, I reordered three more! Other than three different brightness settings, I mainly like the fact that it uses AAA batteries!!! I have other high-intensity flashlights that use special batteries that cost $10, and those batteries only last about 15 minutes of steady use. I've used these for hours and hours and they are still as bright as if the batteries are brand new! LOVE THIS ITEM!!!

So bright you can use it with the lights on and still see the the beam. Plus LEDS get brighter with age. So it will get better the more you use it.
