  • Put the file named "script" wholly into your TF card after decompressing files.
  • Plug TF card then turn on your PC, the PC will upgrade automatically.
  • Pull out TF card after upgrading, then the PC will restart automatically. The system has been upgraded successfully.

    Product FAQs:

    1. Boot failure or turn-off after boot
    Because of the low battery for the new product, you should charge it before using it for about 4 hours. Press the button for about 3 seconds when you start up because of the protection measures for the button, otherwise boot failure.
    2. Scratches on the surface of screen
    The protective film is fixed on the surface of screen. You can tear it before use due to the scratches on protective film.
    3. SD card inserting at the boot prompt
    The system will automatically detect whether SD card is inserted when you start up it. You can use the Tablet PC without SD card, but some functions may not be available (such as taking photos).
    4. No reaction for screen after the boot
    Please make sure of adequate power before boot. Meanwhile, boot time is rather long for about 75 seconds, please be patient. The boot is to complete when the desktop appear.
    5. No reaction to operation for the screen
    The stylus is recommended in such situation with more strength because of the slow response for the screen. 1 second is needed, as for the method of operation, please refer to the video.
    6. The function of “Market place” is not available and software (version of 1.7.2) can’t be downloaded
    You can download the program in “setting” of the “App store” or upgrade to the version 1.82 or 1.988.
    7. The screen goes blank under the situation of standby mode. No reaction with pressing the return key or clicking the touch screen
    It’s not automatic shutdown. The screen will reappear with clicking the power button.
    8. Note for upgrade
    Make sure that the upgrade process is from lower version to higher version. The version number is displayed in the right corner of the screen at the boot time. No power outages in the upgrade process and ensure that the product is connected to the charger. The read and write function of TF card should be guaranteed. The originally installed software will be lost after the upgrade process. Re-install is needed while profiles installed in TF card are not affected.

continuing from before... If you do play any higher resolution the video will freeze and the audio cont. playing. The video seems to play smother at 320x240 .mp4 format. .avi would not play for me. Have not tried h.264 yet. The batteries is good for about two hours at best. The charge time is at least 3 hours. I wish this would of used AAA size batteries. I have recharable ones and I can carry a pocketful. Swap them when needed. This unit goes by the name Fly Touch at other sites. You can find hacks at Slatedroid.com

Pro: It is a cheap e-book reader especially compared to the cheapest kindle. Easy wireless setup. Web surf with no prob. The web pages load up quickly considering the processor this has. E-mail no problems. Con: You have to press hard to make the pages scroll. If you don't press hard, it does get confuse and ends opening or selecting something else. At the moment you can only view what the Android Market has to offer. It has to do something with an ID for the market. Suppsosely the unit has one but everyone has the sameone so when you try to download an app it hangs forever. The good thing is with the PK MANAGER APP that came installed you can load up apps via usb. Google .apk you should find what you need. Youtube APP would open but not play video's. This is a simple fix goto APP STORE install YOUTUBE SUPPORT APP it will replace the one that came with it and it started to work for me. Ok, this is where I eat crow and amend my earlier review from one star to four stars! I can't give it five because the device as supplied is very crippled by it's software and there's NO instruction on how to get the best from it, either from Meritline or the manufacturer (whoever it is). Thanks to several hours of research I've found out how to locate apps in 'apk' format and install them using the supplied PK Manager. I now have YouTube running properly, I can read Amazon books on my Kindle app, I can open PDFs using Beam Reader, and best of all I can watch streaming video using my Skyfire browser. Some tips: Google 'android apk apps' for all you need to know on the above; use the stylus for scrolling and use it FIRMLY; you must use a microSD card both for regular operation and to transfer apps and data to the device from your computer (you can use a USB drive but you then have to use the very flimsy dock connector). Most important of all, you DO NOT have to use the Android M

Got mine yesterday, was able to get to Android market and download an app. This particular device does have some rough edges, no denying. Hopefully some future updates will cure the sluggish behavior.

I had high hopes this unit. But it's just way so slow to use and the battery keeps on dying within hour of usage. It has a lot features in it though for configuration and such for networking. But I can't use it, because it just so slow. I have to return it.

So far it does what I expected it to, If you want something that competes with the Ipad this is not it. If you want a light weight device for web browsing and some apps works great. It could get better as more people find out how what hack was done to get andriod on it to begin with and upgrade. Camera and speed are so so- For the price I can't complain. Working on other users apk suggestion to see what I can really get it to do.

Touch screen is not very sensitive when using fingers and requires fairly heavy pressure,if you use the included stylus it is much better. The display is washed out and dull but readable. Tablet is slow to respond to commands and slow to load programs but usable. My tablets Wifi could not maintain a consistent connection. My unit became hot enough while charging that I did not feel comfortable leaving it unattended.

As shipped, unit was slow and wifi slow. Installed 1.988 without problem. Great improvement. Unit actually better than I expected now. Fine for web surfing and email. For $125, value is very high.

I loved theis Chineese Ipad...It came with default 1.7.2 android build..and wasnt working properly/....but Hats Off to Meritline for providing free upgrade to 1.9...i think Meritline surely is best supporting its product..after a simple upgrade to 1.9.2 everything runs perfectly fine...and you can surely compare it with an iPAD....you tube plays great videos...internet surfing is awsome...i installed the facebook app for android (downloaded from meritline) and that too works great....i think for a Price of 113 $ this is the best deal i have got this decade...again Hats Off to meritline for making this avarahe product a awsome product...just remember to upgrade it to 1.8 or 1.9...otherwise u will hate hate hate this product..... Thanks..
