The hub seems to work as expected. However, the power cord and USB cord that came with the hub are so short that, for me, made putting the hub on my desk is impossible. With the use of a Command Hanger, made by 3M, I was able to mount the hub on the back of my desk. This might end up being a good thing as it frees up some desk space. But I feel that it should have been my choice and not dictated by the shortness of the supplied cords. It you order this hub don't plan on putting it more than one and one-half feet from your computer or a power outlet.

I bought it in hopes it could either a) charge my ipad (it can't) b) Power usb powered gadgest and gizmos. It can do the second item. Haven't tried more than one yet. But it can certainly power a usb powered christmas tree.

Got this in hopes it could charge things with USB chargers. I guess it's just not meant for that. My ipad didn't even acknowledge that it was plugged in. Oh well. I guess I'll try it for that data transfering thing. Or perhaps run those goofy usb powered desktop toys. Maybe it can power them.

Rally small. Great little powered USB hub for small spaces. only caution so small needs velcro to hold it on the table. Otherwise well worth the price.

Works just as its suppose to. Haven't had any problems with any of the ports after a year of use. I have two and they are both working fine still. Can't beat the price for a powered hub.

Bought two of these, one for work and one for home, to act as part of a docking system for a laptop. It was really a bad idea. Both of them very quickly stopped working correctly. One stopped taking power from it's adapter, so the scanner and all portable drives wouldn't work through it. And both of them started having the ports fail. I threw the first one out very shortly after it wouldn't pass power, about two months after getting it. Before I threw the second one out, only two of the ports were working, one on the back, and one on the front. This was at about six months -- only very shortly after setting up my home office desk. Definitely not worth even the relatively reduced price. Unfortunately, most inexpensive Hubs are trash... the cheap Chinese parts used in them aren't to spec, and either bend, break, or burn out near instantly. These are far from the only ones that have failed in the above way.
