from the looks of the picture, the hdmi male connector is oriented so that the longer side of the HDMI trapezoid is on the top, which is also the same side as the female extension connector. for most hdmi equipment, which has the hdmi port oriented normally right side up (long side of trapezoid up), this adapter would see to make the cable stick straight up from the back of the player, which seems unlikely to be what you would want.

Great little tool for those of us with TVs mounted on a wall. Took the stress off my HDMI cable and let's the TV sit flat against the wall. Seems very sturdy and the connections are snug... That's about all you can ask for. My only complaint (but is it?) is the shipping times. I mean, it came from China and took a few weeks. Anyway, great product!

Decent when it worked. I hooked it up with a HDMI cable and it worked fine. Then, when it didnt work, I pushed it up into the tv as I thought the connection was bad. I ended up pushing my HDMI port into the tv making it entirely useless. Not sure if it was a function of the adapter or what, but I never had problems when I just had the cable (no adapter).

I have not tried these 90 deg. elbows yet, they fit a MDMI just fine though. I don't anticipate any problems...product appearance is good.
