Recycling inkjet cartridges:
Meritline.com is now helping our environment by recycling inkjet cartridges. Every year, millions of printer cartridges are thrown away. Most of these inkjet cartridges can actually be recycled to reduce the amount of contamination to our living environment. By recycling inkjet cartridges, we can provide our children a better, cleaner and healthier living environment.
Inkjet recycling facts:
· Statistics show that every year, 73% of newspaper is recycled; 76% of box or corrugated containers are recycled. Unfortunately, only 5 % of inkjet cartridges are recycled every year in the US.
· The plastic which is used in inkjet cartridges can take over 1000 years to decompose.
· To produce a new inkjet cartridge requires 2.5oz of oil.
· On average, a school can use up to 350 cartridges a year. A mid-sized business can use up to 1600 cartridges a year.
· US consumers utilize 700 million gallons of oil a day.
List of cartridges eligible for the recycling program:
1) Please pack your cartridges individually with newspaper in case there is any remaining ink in the cartridges.
2) Then put them into a zip lock type of bag and use the pre-paid bag provided by us to send these cartridges for us to recycle.
4) Please return three or more empty inkjet cartridges per Pre-paid bag to help conserve resources.
5) Pre-paid bags (see below image) may only be used for recycling inkjet cartridges.
