Seriously, it's just a piece of plastic. Couldn't be cheaper. Completely useless.

Does allow AA to be used as C cells, but note that C cells have a wider conductive base. So, in an old flashlight for instance, some tin foil was needed to complete the circuit.

Not a fan of the C's..the D's worked much better, they seemed to make contact with devices because they include an extender at the top while the C's are just plastic and do not work at all. I am very disappointed in these...I have yet to find an application where they work.

Money saving? I don't think so. C cells last 3 times as long as AA cells so if you regularly used AAs in devices that needed Cs, you'll be buying three times as many. But for the OCCASIONAL CONVENIENCE for those of us that have lots of AAs on hand but rarely a C or D the few times we need them, I can see it might be handy. Cheap enough when it's on sale.

Work great except exposed area is to small for flashlight spring. I added a screw to the spring to make contact.

I forgot to mention that in one of my devices the plastic collar of these battery holders prevented proper contact. I used an x-acto knife to whittle the collar away from the top of the case and then it worked just fine. These probably should come with a button option like the D holders.
