Just am amplifier. Stupid design has no on/off switch difficult to adjust volume control. have to remove battery to turn off. Odd battery too, difficult to find locally and only last 5 days to a week per battery. Amplifies all sound even annoying sounds. Not really a heating aid just a small amplifier. If you have certain tones deafness or frequencies you can't hear it's no better than loud speaker. But if you are hard of hearing on all tones it will work fine for you.
