Does this work in INDIA? 220V and round pins; also does it step-down voltage from 220V to 110V? *** This is an official reply from Meritline.com *** This plug adapter is able to work in India for different plug pin, but this adapter is not able to convert voltage.

I've only purchased theproduct, but here's a word of warning for those who want step-up/down capability:USE A TRANSFORMER for any and all microprocessor or chip-containing products! The small step-down units advertising 1600W etc are good for irons and hair dryers but will fry printers and computer power supplies because they cut the AC wave instead of converting it down. Even if you don't understand this, just don't use those step down travel adapters you get in travel shops. I lost a laser printer and a scanner that way! Good thing this product only adapts the pins.

The wall plug adapter works exactly what i wanted....i can use my asian electronic devices (like hard drives etc.) using this adapter. Good thing about this is that you can use this adapter even in europe for any devices made anywhere.
