Meritline.com Verified Buyer of course it won't stick to wood. 10" is pushing the limits on stability, just look at the arm. For my Kindle Fire it works perfectly. sticks reliably to glass and holds my tablet very securely. i recommend it for similarly sized tablets

Meritline.com Verified Buyer Using it for Kindle Fire. Twice now its held the Fire for 6 hours on windshield. I found it to be relatively easy to adjust. It has screw type fasteners to tighten on the swing arm and the hold plate. I had no problems or complaints. On the glass surface it held VERY securely. That was exactly what i wanted it for so it easily earned its 5 stars. If you need it to hold onto a surface that isn't smooth, don't buy something that obviously uses a suction cup - huge no brainer!

I use it for my Kindle Fire, works great for a year now. Holds very secure, easy to adjust and place tablet

Meritline.com Verified Buyer Adheres very well to glass and metal surfaces. If your desk is wood, it must have an incredibly smooth veneer otherwise it will pop off within minutes. Stand is VERY wobbly, it is as if you have a 10" bobblehead tablet. I am not sure if I will continue using it due to the lack of a stable mount although I am not terribly upset at the price, you live and learn
