FAQ of Digital Digital TV and Antenna:

1. Q:what antenna is required?
A: You can use any antenna to connect to HDTV, like regular UHF/VHF Rabbit ear antenna. But this HDTV antenna is rather good. You may pickup more channels.

2. Q:How to capture more digital channels with strong signals?
A: It is all about Direction and location. Pointing antenna to different direction to test the receiption and for sure you will get better signals when you place the antenna near the windows.

3. Q:Is Amplifier antenna better than those without amplifier?
A: Not really. Amplifiers can be very helpful, but they can also degrade the ability to tune a signal if they overload the tuner on your TV.

4. Q:I just bought a new LCD TV. Can I watch Free OTA HD channels with this antennna?
A: Yes. You just need an antenna.

5. Q:I have an old TV. How can I watch Free OTA digital TV channels?
A: You need two items: A DTV Converter Box and the antenna. Apply the DTV coupon online at https://www.dtv2009.gov/ApplyCoupon.aspx.

6. Q: How many Over the Air HD channels in my area?
A: Go to antennaweb.org and input your address. You will see all the digital and alanog channnels available in your area.

Excellent. I was totally confused about the whole DTV switch over thing so I went out and bought a DTV converter box from Meritline for free (Airlink Unit). I was doing research online and came to find out that with newer TV's, you don't need a converter box at all, just the antenna. I bought this unit and plugged it into my Sony Bravia HDTV and select scan for channels and after 30 minutes of scanning, all the channels came in! I was so surprised it worked so seamlessly. The whole set up process took less than 5 minutes and you get HD contents for free that I am paying $100+ per month with DISH network. So gonna try this on my Dell TV in the bedroom and Panasonic plasma in my living room and if it works out so long DISH network. I was really annoyed with the DTV switch over but now I think it's the best thing since sliced bread!! Thanks Obama.

I had an antenna before and the small size is excellant for an apartment. The unit sits on top of the T.V.,T receive 23 channels and it is out of the way.I recommend this unit if your not more then 20 mi.from the station.

Setup was easy. The tuner programmed itself and was ready to go in a couple of minutes. The picture on my set looked excellent. The remote worked without a problem. A multifunction remote would be the only added feature for this unit. I don't have any experience with other Digital converter boxes to make any comparisons, but this works as advertised. I picked up a second unit to use on another set in my house. It definitely works for my 2 tv sets.

The artec antenna came at a discounted price with the airlink digital converter box. I didn't expect much from it, but it was great! The reception is great and gave us more channels with our RCA converter box than we had with our old antenna. The size of the antenna is bigger than I had expected but it is not cumbersome since there are no unwieldy bunny ears. Great buy!

The Artec Digital HDTV Flat Antenna works very well. Instructions are clear and complete. The positioning adjustments are adequate. Put one on Mom's and one on mine.

Great little antenna that does the job of picking up the one network from a different market that I can't get in my local market, due to the NBC affiliate deciding to move from UHF back to its original VHF. By using this antenna to get that network from a different market, I am saving almost $30 on the cost of a different antenna. Very pleased, this was my first time with this website and I am very happy with the product and the service I received here. Thanks!

The price on these ($2 special) was worth trying them out. These are UHF band, and not designed to pull in channels far out. If you live close to antennas, you will probably get a bunch of channels, but you got to do your research to know what antenna is right for where you live in relation to the antennas. All that said, where I live, these antennas just pick up only a couple channels. However, the channel it picks up is an NBC affiliate in Rhode Island, which is crystal clear. In Boston, the NBC affiliate has chosen to be the sole station to migrate back to VHF. So rather than return the large antenna I bought for a much more expensive one that can get Channel 7, I am using this little guy to pull in this sole station from Rhode Island, and I now have all my networks. Very pleased, but again, do your research to make sure this is the right antenna for where you are. Meritline again was superb in this transaction.

This thing is the best .. took my 7" portable tv from picking up zero digital channels to picking up over 20. And even though it is rated for UHF it picked up a couple of VHF channels too.

Possibly due to the fact that we live very close to a large airport, the signal keeps skipping and freezing on most DTV channels.

A great product that works as good as it looks! The free HDMI cable, that was bundled with the order, didn't get me mad either!
