Works as advertised. I did use a different setup than the one described in the user manual to restore the TV Guide On Screen function to my Toshiba 56HM195 TV. I looped my outside antenna feed through the T3APR-T, connected it to the RF in of my TV. I set the T3APR-T to output on Ch.3 and tuned it to my local TV Guide station, then turned on its TV Guide mode. The T3APR-T will then pass through the off air digital channels as well as insert the converted TV Guide channel on analog Ch.3. This allows you to use the tuner built into the TV. After that, all you need to do is a normal TV guide setup on the TV. I then turned my TV off overnight. The next morning the time was set and I had a TV Guide On Screen grid.

Item works as described. I purchased it to restore my TV Guide on screen function that I lost due to the analog to digital transition

The instructions for setting up the TV Guide feature are very confusing. I have a Panasonic DVD writer that used to get the TVGuide listings before the switch to digital. Now I am trying to set it up with the Artec T3APR-T. Unfortunately, the instructions keep referring to a cable box where one doesn't exist. I am confused whether the "cable box" refers to the Artec unit or the DVD recorder. The technical help folks referred me to another number where a machine voice asks to leave a message. Still waiting for callback.

This thing is junk. The manual is no good and makes no sense at all. It is supposed to do the TV guide and pass it to an old analog TV guide machine through the Glink cable. HA! It gets the TV guide, alright, but is not capable of passing it given the lousy instructions and interface.

This item works just as described. I bought it for its TVGOS features, my TVGuide OS stopped working with the analog to digital transition and the converter gives me back my TVGOS. It also restores usability to my VHS Recorder

Bought this to help with the OTA TV Guide. It was able to get my guide back however think they have dropped some channels from it at local end. But product worked great.

My Toshiba TV already displayed HD broadcasts, but I ordered this converter box because I could not receive the TV Guide display following the switch to digital in June. Toshiba advised me that this converter box would do the job, and it does. It is slightly complicated to set it up to do so, but I got it done and am happy with the results.

The Artec T3APR-T(TVG) will pass TVGOS info from ATSC transmissions through to its output. Other devices claim to but don't deliver unles controlled via remote IR from the TV.

I bought this unit to convert TV Guide On Screen data for a HDTV that has a HD tuner but an older version of the guide that only worked with an analog broadcast. In my setup, I am not using it in cable box mode with an IR blaster which is how the instruction manual says it should be set up. I just tuned the Artec to the channel carrying TVGOS data and put it in TV Guide mode. It works well this way although I wish the TV station broadcasting the TV Guide data in my area had better signal strength as it has occasional cut outs that lead to errors in the data stream and missing program information. This is a limitation of the TV channel and my setup, though, and not an issue with the converter box.

The order was received promptly and in good working condition. My only complaint is probably with TVGOS, not Artec. My TV Guide screen has many "NO information available" blocks during ABC network prime time slots. It's interesting in that it is an ABC station in the Phila. area that is the TVGOS host station.

It "works", but go with another converter. Three problems: 1) If put on top of the TV, the cords in the back of the unit pull it, so it does not rest securely. 2) There is a buzzing noise caused by the unit - you have to increase the TV volume to drown it out 3) The colors of the info box are poor chosen, so you can't read the words (few as they are)

'Disappointing, but usefull. I am using the Panasonic DMR-E95H DVD & HARD DISK recorder with the digital converter box (with extended warranty). So far I have not been able to recieve the TV Guide as advertised. Everything else works O.K., including time programing TV shows in advance. But without the TV Guide feature, I cannot program from the guide, see what programs are coming up, or find what digital Ch #'s correspond to the station call letters. It seems all TV Guides now leave out the station ch #s. For information: I did figure out that the recorder station #'s = (station's digital #s)X10 +100. 'not published anywhere I could find. I've tried Panasonic, but no help so far. I am still working on this as time allows.
