Worked right out of the box. Quality of manufacture seems good. Reads and writes SATA drives fast over USB 2.0. I have not tried the eSATA connection.

It is good, but under Vista it is not really plug-and-play - at least not under Sata. That is, you have to reboot the computer in order to see the drive placed into this dock. Once reboothed,you do have full SATA speed access. I do not know if USB requires reboot, as USB would be much slower at any rate. More convient than taking PC apart to add or remove a drive.

Great docking station. Easy set up. E-sata is very fast! I've owned 2 of these for over a year and have had no problems. I use them to hook up several hard drives, mostly Western Digital and Seagate. You can't beat the price either.

The product arrived as expected and works well. The box was a little damaged which made me worry but it is everything they said it would be. The backup software that came with it is cheezy and not very intuitive to use but works well and has some slick features (it was, after all "free - included with the purchase). Still haven't gotten the $10 rebate but it's too soon. Otherwise I'm happy with the purchase.

For the price this product is good. Only drawback is it becomes hot...very hot.... if u plan to use for a long time.

I had a internal docking station with my old computer. But this one works just as good. Just make sure you have a SATA connector to work with this docking station. The USB cable is way to slow working with a HDD.

The unit perform nicely. so far it works with several 3.5" drives that I have. I really like the eSATA interface, it give you atleast 50% performance gain compare to usb connection. You will need to set your motherboard to AHCI SATA to allow hot-plug using esata connection. CAUTION: I never receive the rebate from AZIO. Emsiled them twice with no response. So be prepare to pay full price. Hopefully Meritline can help pressure Azio to honor this rebates.

This docking station works great as a back up to my desktop and laptop with an existing 3.5" internal hard drive. It allowed me to check a friend's 2.5" laptop hard drive for functionality that a large electronic retail store said "had crashed". Fast data transfer rate using this docking station. Highly recommended.
