Inexpensive, small and easy to carry around. The cable is very short so an extension is needed if using with a desktop, but for laptop it's fine. Have a flash drive (Ready Boost) and USB sound card plugged into this, and still working after a year.

Wish the wire was longer and the usb plug is kinda facing the wrong way and seems upside down. It's normally very good but if you unplug a life hard drive out of an Azio it knocks out the wifi mouse. Have to plug the mouse back in. pull it out and reinsert. Don't know why. But overall not a big problem. Does get a bit warm though.

I have quite a few USB hubs, most work OK, 1 or 2 cheapos broke or failed. This Belkin 4-port hub is well-made, it's circular so you can plug in devices handily, & is compact & so easily carried with you.
