If the Toner LED is on:
Check to see if the drum unit assembly is installed correctly. If not, take the drum unit out of the machine and put it back in.

If the drum unit assembly is correctly installed, and still the Toner LED is on, the toner cartridge is empty. Replace the toner cartridge with a new one.

At first this didn't work for me, and it said out of toner because the machine did not recognize this toner because it's not "genuine Brother Toner." In order to make this toner work, I had to open up front door, press *00 start then stop to override the out of toner function. I found this trick on some online blog. This may void the warrantee though.

Listed as a "Compatible" cartridge, but toner box clearly marked "Remanufactured". Deceptive advertising. Not the expected product.

The toner quality matches the OEM. Also, one time there was a defective cartridge and Meritline was timely in backing up their product by sending a replacement.

The cartridge I purchased for the Brother Laser Printer works great. They is no passing on the price either. I bought 2 cartridges for less than I have bought 1 in the past. At this point the first is still going strong.
