  • Material: Aluminum, tin, glass, plastic

  • Adjustable flame level
  • Dimensions: 2.56 in x 1.18 in x 0.79 in
  • Weight: 0.07lb
  • Here are the steps to make this type of lighter work:

  • 1) Hold the lighter upside down.
  • 2) Hold the Butane Fuel aerosol upside down.
  • 3) insert the tip of the Butane Fuel aerosol and gently press down on the brass filler valvle on the bottom of the lighter's fuel tank (which is now facing up). The ligher's tank will start to fill.
  • 4) Fill the lighter up to the top of what looks like a "fill line" which is the circular ridge on the outside of the lighter's fuel tank.
  • 5) Remove the Butane Fuel aerosol from the brass filler valve on the fuel tank.
  • 6) Still holding the lighter upside down, insert a ball point pen tip into the brass filler valve and release the air that is still in the tank.
  • 7) ***Important*** wait 15 minutes!
  • 8) Using a flat blade screw driver turn the brass valve adjusting screw CLOCKWISE 1/4 turn.
  • 9) Now you should be able to get a nice blue flame.

a good little item. compact and once it is filled produces a hefty little flame. i experienced no difficulty with it, as a matter of fact, i am going to order a few more.

I've ordered 12 of these so far and the ones that work work quite fantastically. If it weren't for the two of them constantly vented butane, this would have received 5 starts. 2 stars were removed because of the first one that vented butane constantly. I tried to light this one which engulfed my hand in a fireball, which startled me and I reacted by throwing the run-away lighter (now a fireball) onto my carpet. Luckily, it safely bounced onto a pile of junk mail where I could smother the fire before it caused any property damage.

This is a very convenient small size, fits in my pocket well, easy to fill and use. Sometimes the lid flips open in my pocket, but I keep it in the small jeans pants pocket and that helps. It adjusts fine, heats well, and does a much better job lighting the garbage than matches.

Piece of junk. Ordered 2 and could not get either one to work consistently. Printed directions and tried several times. Limited success to none. I have ordered dozens of items and this is by far the worst.

Not badly built for something at this price point but I purchased two of them and I can't seem to adjust the flame on either. There is an adjustment knob on the black part on the front (opposite the trigger) that simply slides back and forth but has no effect at all. That's the reason for my two star rating.

Great lighter, but it is a little tricky to light the first time. When you get all of the air out of the tank, this thing works like a charm. I would buy it again.

I spoke too soon: UPDATE: New lighter arrived in the mail today and this one works excellently. Please note that turning the flame adjust screw just slightly makes a huge difference in flame...be careful. Also, once it lights, you can lock it (slide lock on side) and let it get warm for about 20 seconds. This softens the valve. Do this several times within about fifteen minutes and it will work just fine after that. The flame should not be longer than 3/4 inch in length...longer flame sometimes will not turn off properly.
