Meritline.com Verified Buyer Brand name and compatible produce no visible difference after comparing the two. However, I print mostly word documents some diagrams and pictures, but nothing too technical or high quality. For me, the significant reduction in price would easily outweigh any negatives (not that I noticed any). As for 2,300 pages, that may be true at 5% coverage, but NO ONE prints at 5% coverage, so the real number of pages out of cartridge you may expect to get is anywhere from 400-900; well, at least for me. I got about 884 in mine. Still though, I bought another, because its the best deal I've found.

This did not last anywhere close to 2000 pages. More like 400 to 500.
