These cartridges would NOT work in my Canon MX870 printer. Sometimes I could get the printer to recognize them for one print job, but the next time I tried to print, the printer said it couldn't recognize the cartridges. Getting it to work for another print job required turning the printer off completely, waiting on it to go through its startup routine, and then sending the job to the printer again. I had to do this EVERY SINGLE TIME I wanted to print! I finally quit trying and bought some Canon brand cartridges from Office Depot. I would have returned these for a refund, but I had already paid shipping to get them to me and by the time I paid shipping BACK to Meritline (which, by the way, they will not cover even in the case of defective merchandise), I would have been in the hole.

On several occasions, I have purchased these ink cartridges for two of my printers. They have performed flawlessly in producing print copies and photographs. They are terrific and a good buy. Overall, they have kept my software budget more manageable.

While the cartridges were easy to install, the resulting printing seems too blue. I replaced all colors at once with the new ones, so I do not have a mixture of old and new. I may try one more batch in the future just to see if this was a freak occurrence, but I'd be wary.

Didn't make much sense to be sending the CLI-221 BK as a 4 pack. I brought this up to meritline because that cartridge is rarely used. So they thought it was a great idea to packaged the CLI-220 BK instead and now this is the proper pack. :) Although I wish it was free shipping the shipping is lower than most things here.
