Fits great, price is great vs. a Canon brand. I can't do a side by side with an original Canon lens hood because I do not have one, but what can I say it mounts nicely and it does what it should. The day after I ordered this they went on sale so I ordered another one. Happy with the purchases.

Works so well with the kit lens I just bought my second one since they're on sale! I have tried it on my 55-250 and it's better than using the naked lens. I will get the right tulip when they go on sale but you ought to have at least one of these on every lens.

With not much expectations on this, I got it on sale for $2.99. I am not sure what difference it has brought to my pics, but trust me it has really saved my $200 EF S lens (when my wife accidentally dropped it on a rocky area). And now am more than happy with this purchase (obviously :-)...
