    The product broke in half upon catching my second tiny fish, both were small bluegill here in Pennsylvania. The end eyelet for the fishing line also pulled off of the pole. The reel was of very poor quality and functioned mediocre at best. Thumbs down

    Very nice product. However, at times the extensions can get stuck and it is very difficult to push them back in. Other than that... Great product.

    Such a fun way to make a great pass time available anywhere. The pole easily fits in the glove box of your car and can be assembled fast!

    This was awesome. We took it to the lake and caught two 15 lb bass using spinner bait. My wife said she is going to order one after we get the house sold because after I bought mine we were taken to court by the IRS because we havent paid our taxes. So were probably selling the boat and will have some extra mone freed up to get us another coleman FishPen. Wish we could have been on the lake more often, than we would never had seen that letter in the mail about having our house taken from us. Which is fine because uncle Bill might let us have the spare bed room. Did I just write all this? Im sorry, this pole was fantastic and I would let walmart have a shot at selling these puppies. I worked for Walmart in the 80's when real men were allowed to strut their stuff. Now im just working as a plummmer back home. Work will pick up as will this pen if i could get me some bait to head to the lake with. I love this pen.

    The fish pens arrived very quickly. There is a problem with them, the drag does not work correctly. However we decided this was ok since we did not plan to do any Big Game fishing..lol We are an avid fishing family and many times we would be traveling and not have our fishing equipment with us. Mostly because there was just no room to pack this. This product fits anywhere and you can now easily take it with you. It is great for what it is intended to be. A back up when you feel the need to fish but don't plan on catching anything but pan fish. I would recommend this to anyone that has been on a trip and could not take their full tackle with them. It full-fills the need for "I wish I had a fishing pole with me"

    This is a fun little item to have ready if the urge to fish overwhelms you... It's too small for any real fishing trip, but you can actually catch a fish with it. You need a bag or case to keep it in. While the pole folds up to the size of a very large pen, you still need to keep the reel and fishing hooks or gear in something. They originally sold this with a small case, but it isn't available from Coleman any more. For what it is, and the price you are paying, it's a cool little item.

    It's no more than junk. I got the itme and we expandrd it, then it wouldn't collapse all the way. I just left it and when we went to try to use it the top things that the line goes through came off in my hand.

    The Coleman Fish Pen as a back-up when my family came up to Alaska for a visit. As it turns out, I used it exclusively for 3 days fishing for Pike and it cast, retrieved and stored flawlessly. Now I keep one in my trunk for impulsive sidetrips.

    It's not a true fishing pool that you would want to use everyday, but for that once in a blue moon, "keep in the tool box go fishiong on your way home from work," it does well.
