I didn't need this to make my laptop stand too high so it worked out. I wouldn't suggest using it with a 12 ~ 13 machine because it isn't very effective if you want to tip the machine too high. The stand portion is too far back for it to work effectively in those cases. Otherwise, the fan works fine and it very quiet, the rotation aspect of it is fine, nothing too fancy and the color is quiet enough. Overall, for the $13 I paid, worth the money.

After reading the other reviews I just had to get this cooler. It DOES NOT cool my 15" laptop better than the low end Targus dual fan cooler. In fact the laptop literally runs 10 degrees higher with this cooler. YES 10 DEGREES WARMER! I do love the ergonomics of this device and it is quieter than any other unit that I've used but maybe that's because it doesn't cool as well. If you have a cool laptop this is great, but if your laptop runs on the warmer side, forget it! Get something else.

I've been looking for a laptop stand for over a year and this is the one that fits my my needs perfectly. I'm using a Compaq Presario CQ57, it fits the stand and rests on my lap perfectly. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Stand works great, does everything as described. Some people have complained about it being noisy, but frankly I don't notice it all that much. Perhaps if I were right over it I would get annoyed a little, but my computer is about 2 ft from me. Fan circulates a good amount of air and construction feels fairly sturdy (3.4/5). My only qualm about this product is that mine tends to make a rattling noise like something is loose somewhere in the spinning mechanism, but if I tap down on it a bit it tends to stop usually. Adjustable height is an excellent feature; one of those things you never appreciate until you actually have one. All in all a good purchase. Worth the money.

I was worried about the amount of heat generated by my laptop on my glass-top desk. I bought this stand on a whim when I saw it advertised by MeritLine as a special. I absolutely love it. There are NO negatives for me! So much so that I have already ordered a 2nd to go to my daughter-in-law as a gift. I recommend this to anyone worried about causing harm to their laptop. Is it expensive--no,not when you consider the cost of damage to the laptop from overheating. I think it has all the bells and whistles, lacking nothing that I would want additionally.

This is the best laptop cooler I have found. I have tried several, and this is the best hands down. I use my laptop probably 18 hours a day, and it is now staying cool. And the raised levels are perfect to reduce eye strain and wrist pain. I would recommend this highly!

Love this!! Really wanted one like my last one with a built in USB hub. But I could not find one. But this more than makes up for that being missing with the ability to raise up the laptop so high and the ease of which I can travel with it. Not to mention the rotating feature. My highest praise to this product!
