Excellent flashlights! I have ordered 8 of the black version of these (sku: 188-912-001) and these are of the same specs except obviously the colors! I will clear up a few things regarding the clip and strap: These have the clip and not the strap as stated in the specs (although they may fix the spec by the time you read this). These are really bright lights I use the Energizer lithium AA's and am very happy with their performance. I can not comment on using the 14500 batteries since I do not own any. I ordered these the first day they were available which was 3-29-2012 and received them in Florida on 4-11-2012 which was more then acceptable! If you order any of the colors which are currently: silver, black, green, red or blue I guarantee you will order more for yourself or gifts (as I did)!!

The specs say there is no clip and the lights have a lanyard. These have always come with a clip, which I find to be handier than a lanyard with a small light. They appear to be XP-E Q3 lights and are quite bright - even with NiMH or alkaline batteries.. The zoom feature gives a wide smooth flood or a square concentrated long throw. The 4.2v max would indicate you can use 14500 lithium rechargeables, but in my experience they can't dissipate the heat and quit after a few minutes with 14500s. I keep one in the glovebox of my car and truck using alkaline AAs with a spare attached with a rubber band. I doubt you can find a handier light using alkaline or NiMH batteries. They are blazingly bright with 14500s but aren't reliable enough with them for emergency use. I've given many away as gifts and they are always well received.

Took about 4 weeks to receive these for me, which I expected. These lights are well made, and and incredibly bright. Using a single AA battery makes them compact and easy to carry around. Only problem I've encountered is one of the lights (red one in my case) is not milled to specs making it grind when trying to flood or spotlight. Not a huge deal, but slightly annoying. Overall I'm happy with the purchase

Received the order in about 23 days to USA. The lights all work great (see my other review on these for a more detailed review) with one exception see below: The green flashlight the zoom just slid in and out with no resistance so it would not stay adjusted. I found that the crown unscrews and that gets you to the LED which then also unscrews and there is a small "C" ring that provides the resistance to the focus. I stretched the "C" out a little and put it back together and boom works just like the other 12 or so of these that I have purchased! Awesome lights and well worth the money they make great gifts, stocking stuffers, etc.

I originally got the single-pack black version, and was so impressed, I ordered this 3-pack in color when I saw it on sale. For a single AA-cell device, it throws an amazing amount of light. When at maximum focus, I can see the beam 300 feet down the road and light up the side of the next house. Since I take our dogs out late at night for their final sabbatical, this light has replaced all my other flashlights. I bought more to keep in the our cars. This flashlight just abosolultly blows away the 9 and 25 LED flashlights I've gotten over the past few years. It has also replaced my Pelikan SabreLight (for those of you who know the brand). While not waterproof like the Pelikan, it otherwise outshines the Pelikan's halogen bulb and 3 C-cells. Now, having said that, some of Meritline's other bright, single LED, offerings don't shine quite as brightly. And some require the 14500 3.6v lithium cell for maximum brilliance, even though they are AA-cell compatible. I brought this unit

I have purchased 12 of these flashlights (4 packs) and have been giving some away as presents. Most of the comments are "WOW!". The light is very, very bright. The zoom is a great feature. And the best thing is that it uses 1 AA battery. No special batteries to buy. Works well with rechargeable batteries which is what I use. Also, most people like the colors instead of the traditional black flashlights. One of Meritline's best products and I highly recommend.

As with other reviewers, I bought the black version, and when I saw these I snapped them right up, because the black version was so fantastic. I love the look, and I love being able to change from spot to flood. Some of the flashlights I've bought here have been very bright but the switch was a bit iffy after a short time. These have a VERY solid switch. I expect it to last a long time. Well done.

I own a bunch of these lights, but the three pack with different colors just make them a better value. They are very bright, and can throw the light a very far distance. The focus ring is smooth and easy to adjust for a wider or more narrow beam. Add in the fact that these only take 1AA battery and run for a decent amount of time, why not buy a few. I've got a couple in the house, 1 in each car, and I've given them as simple gifts.

This will be the most powerful light it's size you will ever have. The adjustable beam is extremly helpful. Have bought several for gifts and everyone says the same and want more. The only problem I have encountered is the threads are very fine and require silicone or light oil on them. I prefer silicone grease because I also grease the orings that make it waterproof. It is not waterproof enough for diving but can be dropped in water and be pulled back out and used.
