This is not a bad light, but is only 700 lumens. It is a Poppas W878 XML-T6 and can be found for a lower price. It has 5 modes and is bright but not near 1200 lumens. Comes with no directions or specifications.

This flashlight does not have memory. It does have a zoom lens, which is very nice. It may not be quite as bright as some of the other 1200-lumen flashlights, but still is very bright. It also has the ability to switch between modes without turning it completely off. (A slight push on the button instead of a full click.)

I love this one; It is probably not nearly 1200 Lumens but it defiantly is one of my brightest flashlights in the below $50 range. This flashlight is definitely overkill and is extremely painful when looking into the light (great for blinding unwanted guests at night). It is physically much larger than most of the other CREE flashlights (I like having a variety). Get it!!!!!

This light is bright but definitely not 1200 lumen, I will say it is around 500. I measured the current draw from several different 18650 cells and the max is ~1.3A at 4V = about 5W. The 3+2 mode works as advertised. The battery barrel is a bit too large for 18650 even with adapter. I can feel the 18650 shake a bit inside the light, but it does not affect the function. The sliding zoom head slides very smoothly and not loose at all (as good as my Sipik SK68). Overall I am happy with the quality. The light is still very bright and the zoom works very well and I like the big flood. One thing I noticed is that the light does not get warm. I thought it could be bad heat conductivity from the T6 LED to the body so I opened it up and touch the LED by hand while at high, it is just warm. Looks like the LED is under-driven (could be the driver is just direct transplanted from XP/Q5). The good thing is the battery really last, even on high. Overall this is a very good light for the price.

This is an extremely bright light and an excellent value. It performs well with 3 AAA NiMh, alklines, or a single 18650 Li-ion. The fluting cuts on the lens barrel prevent it from rolling when placed on a flat surface. I have already ordered another.

I bought this after seeing a friends light that he also purchased from here. You will not be disappointed in this light. The lumen output is not 1200, and neither are any of the lights sold here. The cree T6 LED is CAPABLE of 910-975 lumens DRIVEN AT 325%. This page give the charts for all the cree bulbs: http://flashlightwiki.com/Cree Im guessing the light is aroud 400 TRUE LUMENS. The zoom-focus is amazing, but you lose a little of the out the front light when it is all the way zoomed. The flashlight came in a beaten up box, no instructions whatever but it is self explanatory. You put in the battery and turn it on (i use 18650 batteries pulled from laptop packs, and the utrafire chrger bought here) The description says on meritline that "the circuit features mode memory" but it does not, which is a big deal to some people but for 12.99?? It is worth the money all the way and then some.

I was surprised to see the positive reviews on this light. I can only assume that they have not experienced a true 1200 lumens light. That being said, it is still worth the money, and I will never buy another flashlight from anyone other than Meritline. BTW for a much better light for a few dollars more, get the CREE C11 R5 5-Mode 750-Lumen White LED Flashlight with Strap, Silver (1 x 18650)

The AAA battery holder required adjustment so that the battery would make contact with the positive terminal. Easily corrected with a very small screwdriver. My complaint would be with the delivery time. I ordered this 9/25/2012 but did not receive until 10/29/2012. Definitely longer than the 2-3 weeks indicated.

Very nice light. I use it to provide light for special effects with my camera. The zoom is quite useful.

It came really quickly (ordered 4/19, received on 4/29, in 5 working days!!). SO happy about that. Light itself is really bright, may not be near 1000 lumen (T6 can't output 1000 lumen unless driven at 300% which will probably fry it without extra circuitry). The description said coated glass lens, but mine came with a regular plastic lens. The lens has some scratches, and sides (if you take out the end cap) are broken. SO not a very happy customer there!
