Pretty good timer. I do find that the battery cover tends to come off when pushing both Min & Sec buttons unless very careful. I haven't seen a timer yet that shuts off completely when not in use. I kind of like it that the 2 minute timing I use for tooth brushing stays ready for the next use.

Doesn't have any way to turn off except to remove battery.
